HeirWealth launches an MCP server, letting advisers query whole-of-wealth data through AI assistants

The new Model Context Protocol server connects HeirWealth's consolidated data layer directly to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, and is believed to be a first for an Australian wealth reporting platform.

Sydney, 9 July 2026. HeirWealth today announced the launch of an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server for its wealth management suite, allowing financial advisers, accountants, and family offices to interrogate consolidated client data through AI assistants using plain language. The launch is effective immediately.

Advisers serving high-net-worth and multi-generational clients spend a significant portion of their week pulling data, running reports, and reconciling positions across multiple entities, structures, and platforms. Much of that information sits behind dashboards and exports, out of reach of the AI assistants advisers increasingly use for everyday work. The result is a gap between the data an adviser holds and the tools they use to reason about it.

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard, introduced by Anthropic and now supported across AI assistants including Claude and ChatGPT, that provides a secure, standardised way for those assistants to connect to external data and tools. HeirWealth’s MCP server exposes the same consolidated data layer that powers HeirWealth Atlas as a set of governed tools an AI assistant can call on request.

The first focus is insights and reporting. With the MCP server, an AI assistant can read a family’s consolidated client reporting in HeirWealth and produce portfolio insights, plain-English summaries, and risk or anomaly flags in seconds. Advisers can interrogate the balance sheet conversationally, asking, for example, about a family’s total property exposure across all entities, rather than manually pulling and reconciling data across platforms. Because the figures are produced by HeirWealth’s own deterministic calculation engine and passed to the assistant, rather than generated by the AI, every number returned is consistent, repeatable, and auditable.

The second is adviser productivity. The MCP server removes hours of manual work from the adviser’s week. Client meeting preparation, portfolio summaries, and first-draft client communications can be generated directly from live data, freeing advisers to spend more time on relationships and advice rather than administration.

Access runs through each firm’s existing HeirWealth permissions and consent model. An AI assistant reads only what it is authorised to see, and the family’s data stays governed within HeirWealth.

“Advisers have told us for years that the hardest part of their week isn’t the advice; it’s assembling the picture they need to give it. Our data layer already solved the consolidation problem. The MCP server takes the next step: it lets an adviser simply ask a question and get an answer drawn straight from their own client data, inside the AI tools they’re already using. It removes hours of manual work without asking anyone to change how they work, and it does so within the permissions the firm already controls.”

Ray Tubman, Chief Executive Officer, HeirWealth

The MCP server is available now to HeirWealth Atlas firms on an opt-in basis and connects to any MCP-compatible AI assistant. Firms retain full control over access, and no client data is used to train third-party AI models. Further detail on setup and supported assistants is available from the HeirWealth team. About the Model Context Protocol

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard, introduced by Anthropic in late 2024, for connecting AI applications to external systems such as data sources and tools. It has since been adopted across the AI ecosystem, including by assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT and by companies across financial services. An MCP server lets an organisation expose its own data and capabilities to AI assistants in a standardised, permissioned way, rather than through one-off integrations.

About HeirWealth

HeirWealth is an Australian wealth management suite that sits above existing platforms, aggregating client data from every entity and structure into a consolidated data layer. That layer powers two core solutions: HeirWealth Atlas, which delivers coordinated, whole-of-wealth reporting for financial advisers, wealth managers, accountants, and family offices; and HeirWealth Portal, which puts that same visibility directly in the hands of clients in real time. HeirWealth works with advice practices across Australia serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and multi-generational families. For more information, visit heirwealth.com/atlas.
